Pakachoag Church has a long history of community involvement and leadership that includes giving roots to the Auburn Senior Center, creating the predecessor support group to AIDS Project Worcester, founding the Pakachoag Music School of Greater Worcester and offering long term fostering of the Auburn Visiting Nurses Association.
By forming the Pakachoag Center the Church has committed to being part of a community of people and projects whose combined efforts and assets broadly serve to enrich, inform, or empower others. The Center is committed to providing a supportive, collaborative setting for fostering positive dialogue and engagement between and among the diverse people and communities within Central Massachusetts, with the aim of generating programs and activities that serve the common good.
Some "class-oriented" programs will provide participants with something as simple as socializing with others while learning a new skill. Others will offer life changing experiences to those who participate. In all cases, it is our Partners and Affiliates who present and/or "own" these programs, with the Center offering the space and support for their good work to take place.
